AeroPress methods

Are you unsure of how to use your Aeropress to make great coffee while in the hospital helping support your loved one.  Follow the methods below to ensure you are caffeinated and ready to battle Childhood Cancer.

Hot Coffee 

1)  Pull out aeropress plunger to align with the number 4 on the side of the chamber and place on a flat surface inverted so opening is facing up.

2)  Add two scoops(30g) of medium fine ground coffee into Aeropress chamber.

3)  add hot water to just cover grounds and wait 30 seconds to allow the grounds to bloom.

4)  Continue to fill the camber with hot water until the water level is just above the number 1 on the side of the chamber.

5)  using the aeropress paddle stir the grounds and water for 30 rotations.

6)  add hot water until it is just below the lip of the chamber.

7)  place filter paper in strainer lid and rinse.

8)  place strainer lid on aeropress chamber and tighten.

9)  carefully place the aeropress chamber right side up on 16 ounce tumbler.

10)  slowly press the plunger down until you hear a hissing sound and remover aeropress from coffee mug.

11)  Add hot water to coffee until tumbler is full.  *different amounts of water can be added to achieve desired strength.  

12)  Take aeropress chamber to trash can, twist lid off, press the plunger, and discard the grounds and filter paper.

13)  Rinse aeropress and store for next cup.

Cold Brew

1)  Pull out aeropress plunger to align with the number 4 on the side of the chamber and place on a flat surface inverted so opening is facing up.

2)  Add two scoops(30g) of medium fine ground coffee into Aeropress chamber.

3)  Add room temperature water until just above the number 1 on the side of the chamber.

4)  Using AeroPress paddle stir grounds for 1 minute.

5>  Add water to fill just below the brim of the chamber.

6)  place filter paper in strainer lid and rinse with water.

7)  place strainer lid on aeropress chamber and tighten.

8)  Fill Tumbler with Ice.

9)  carefully place the aeropress chamber right side up on tumbler.

10)  slowly press the plunger down until you hear a hissing sound.  Continue to push until hissing sounds stops then remover aeropress from tumbler.

11)  Add water to coffee in order to achieve desired strength.  *optional 

12)  Take aeropress chamber to trash can, twist lid off, press the plunger, and discard the grounds and filter paper.

13)  Rinse aeropress and store for next cup.

Iced Coffee

1)  Pull out aeropress plunger to align with the number 4 on the side of the chamber and place on a flat surface inverted so opening is facing up.

2)  Add two scoops(30g) of medium fine ground coffee into Aeropress chamber.

3)  add hot water to just cover grounds and wait 30 seconds to allow the grounds to bloom.

4)  Continue to fill the camber with hot water until the water level is just above the number 1 on the side of the chamber.

5)  using the aeropress paddle stir the grounds and water for 30 rotations.

6)  add hot water until it is just below the lip of the chamber.

7)  place filter paper in strainer lid and rinse.

8)  place strainer lid on aeropress chamber and tighten.

9)  Fill a tumbler with ice.

10)  carefully place the aeropress chamber right side up on tumbler.

11)  slowly press the plunger down until you hear a hissing sound.  Continue to push until hissing sound stops then remover aeropress from coffee mug.  

12)  Take aeropress chamber to trash can, twist lid off, press the plunger, and discard the grounds and filter paper.

13)  Rinse aeropress and store for next cup.
